The Tree Portraits are a series of etchings of trees printed on to paper made from the trees’ own leaves. They were created over a period of 12 years in collaboration with fellow printmaker Emma Buckmaster and signed Buckmaster-French. The Tree Portraits are widely exhibited and were selected for The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2013, 2016 and 2019. In 2016 they were featured in the BBC documentary on the Summer Exhibition. Acer Pseudoplatanus and Fraxinus have been selected for the RA Summer Exhibition 2024.
